My name is Latoya Smith, and I am a wife, mother of three amazing boys, and an educator with more than 22 years of experience helping others grow, learn, and thrive. But behind this business is a deeply personal story of love, loss, resilience, and rediscovery.

A Hearts of Passion Custom Design was born shortly after the passing of my mother from Alzheimer's disease. For nearly ten years, my immediate and extended family devoted ourselves to caring for her. She was the heart of our family—the person who taught me to see beauty in life, appreciate the people around me, and recognize my own worth.

During those years, life became a cycle of responsibilities. I was an educator, a wife, a mother, and a caregiver. Like so many women, I poured everything I had into caring for everyone else. Somewhere along the way, I lost parts of myself.

After my mother's passing, I realized something powerful: you cannot continue to pour from an empty cup.

I began a journey of relearning how to care for myself—not out of selfishness, but out of necessity. I wanted my children to understand that self-care is not a luxury; it is an act of self-love, healing, and renewal. What started as a personal journey soon became a passion and ultimately a business dedicated to helping others experience the same transformation.

Every lotion, body butter, body wash, candle, body oil, and self-care product we create is designed with intention. Our products are crafted to encourage you to pause, breathe, and give yourself permission to feel valued, cared for, and refreshed.
